Where are the broadcast television and radio transmitters near you and what do they transmit?

Our UK Broadcast Transmitter Map Library brings DTT / Freeview, DAB, FM and AM / MW transmitter information together in one accessible place. We use this information for modelling impacts to broadcast service reception from proposed tall buildings and wind farms. This system enables a user to enter a UK postcode, choose a search distance and explore nearby transmitter sites.

Four ways to explore the UK’s TV and radio broadcast networks

DTT / Freeview transmitters
Locate television transmitter sites to verify their operational multiplexes, UHF channels, frequencies, effective radiated powers (ERPs), polarisation and antenna heights.

DAB radio transmitters
Find Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) sites, the multiplexes they carry and the radio services listed for each multiplex, alongside transmitter details and available transmit antenna patterns.

FM radio transmitters
Identify FM (VHF) radio broadcast sites (88–108 MHz), with station names, frequencies, RDS information and technical transmission parameters.

AM / MW radio transmitters
Locate medium-wave sites and assess their broadcast output, frequencies, powers and available antenna information.

Useful information, clearly presented from published data with verified sources

The library is intended as a public information resource for listeners, viewers, aerial installers, engineers, researchers and anyone interested in the UK’s broadcast transmission infrastructure.
