About the AM / MW map
This directory uses Ofcom’s MF transmitter snapshot: 81 mapped locations and 95 station/frequency records, ranging from 558 to 1575 kHz. It does not cover long-wave or short-wave services. Several records can share one published grid reference.
Power is shown as effective monopole radiated power (EMRP), retaining the distinction between in-use and licensed values. Published source power strings have been normalised and rounded for display; frequency remains in kHz. Available antenna patterns show relative radiation in azimuth, not geographical reception.
