We undertake Docklands Light Railway (DLR) radio signal surveys to assist developers and planners in discharging planning conditions and meeting the requirements of associated S106 agreement schedules with respect to planned or consented development adjacent to TfL’s DLR. The majority of this work is conducted in London Borough of Newham and London Borough of Tower Hamlets. A typical planning condition may state:
A) Prior to the commencement of the development hereby permitted, a radio impact survey shall be undertaken and submitted to the Local Planning Authority for approval in writing in consultation with Docklands Light Railway, to assess the impact of the development on the DLR radio signal.
B) Upon implementation of the development and at interim stages after implementation until completion of the superstructures, a radio impact survey shall be undertaken and submitted to the Local Planning Authority for approval in writing in consultation with Docklands Light Railway, to assess the impact of the development on the DLR radio signal.
C) Upon completion of the superstructures within the development the applicant shall submit a Completed Development Radio Impact Survey to the Local Planning Authority for approval in writing in consultation with Docklands Light Railway, to assess the impact of the development on the DLR radio signal. Should the development be found to have impact on the radio signal, no development shall take place until a scheme of mitigation has been agreed in writing with Docklands Light Railway and implemented.
We provide proven and accepted insured technical assessments to discharge associated planning conditions and S106 agreement schedules, arranging all required network survey work with TfL, DLR, and other third parties. The output of the technical assessment is upheld with robust Markel insurance for both PI and CW matters. Contact us on 01926 744771 to discuss your requirements
